Two western Wisconsin communities want the brat record in the “wurst” way. Prescott’s claiming a world-record-setting bratwurst, at 52 feet, 2 inches.
But on the same day, October 6th, organizers of an Oktoberfest in the town of Dallas say they grilled a brat that was 135 feet long. The Prescott folks counter they followed the rules of the World Record Academy in Florida that require a bun. No bun in Dallas. But Oktoberfest sponsors in Dallas say they’ve been grilling brats longer than the record one since 2009.
