Lily Morgan is a 3 year old living in Fort McMurray born with congenital heart failure, as a result of a very narrow artery that prevented blood flow below her heart. She has had two open-heart surgeries and had to endure a stroke before she could even ride a bike. A major challenge for her and the family is they must be incredibly careful with germs- even a common cold could risk collapsing her lung. As a result the family has had to constantly renovate their home which combined with her medical bills has left them with a huge financial burden. The Tavern On Main is hosting an Open Mic night on Thursday (as they do every week) but this time it’s for a great cause. For every musician who steps on stage, the Tavern will make a cash donation to the Morgan family. They will also be auctioning off a Gord Downie painting from Russel Thomas and a hotel package donated by Bridgeport Inn. Tavern staff Jessie Stecyk and Angel Vandale came in to chat about the event!
