Country 93.3 On Air
Kenny Jones
Weekdays, 5am to 9am
Kenny was born in Windsor Ontario ( He still tells everyone he is from Detroit)
Kenny is the Father to Liam and Piper Husband to Erin.
When not at Country 93.3 you can find Kenny trying his luck on stage or with the United Way of Fort McMurray
(He will tell you when he is not at work he is watching Football and having beers with the Guys)
Kenny has been in town just about 10 years
Kenny is also the weird guy that can never figure out the four way stop at the Canadian Tire. He is also the Weird guy you see running around Thickwood singing to himself and practising sign language.
Kenny wants everyone to know that he is not the guy that yells "Oh Snap" during crutal plot forming scenes at Landmark six.
Kenny is most proud of his George Carlin collection if you ever want to borrow a DVD or CD just email him at kenny.jones@rci.rogers.com.
Kenny truly loves the city of Fort McMurray.
Kenny wants you to know that despite what you may have heard over the years he is in fact a great speller (he's also lying about this one)!
Kelly Abbott
Weekdays from 9am to 2pm
An old friend returns!
Kelly Abbott is back on Country 93-3 while her pal Christina Rowsell has another baby!
Hello again! Happy to be back on the radio in McMurray playing this great country for you!
Let's see….my interest in country goes back to the Alabama era - two stepping at the high school rodeo dance's in Williams Lake, BC! George Strait was just breaking out back then…yes that was awhile ago!
My first radio job was on a country station in Prince George…this was the Achey Breaky era…more importantly Garth Brooks was just exploding on the scene and CMT launched in Canada. I was hooked! A career highlight was the time I got to talk to Garth at a pre-show press conference! He was as genuine as they come!
I moved to Alberta 5 years ago - and was welcomed by Paul Brandt…not personally, but 'Alberta Bound' was new and seemed to fit. I'm married to Trevor, a true Albertan (from Innisfail!). We have a happy black lab named Molly who we spoil endlessly.
When I'm not at work I'm watching t-v, listening to the radio, pouring thru magazines, lunching with friends, hanging out with family & exploring my wine rack!
Kevin Fell
Weekdays, 2pm to 6pm
Who is Kevin Fell?
Some would say that my Taylor Swift shrine is creepy….. I think it’s perfectly normal to have posters, screensaver, cell phone wallpaper, bed sheets, pajamas, rhinestone microphone and matching plate and fork featuring my favorite country star.
I have been known to fix my truck with a coat hanger and always do my own oil changes. My car maintenance always occurs in my driveway. There may even be a spare part or two laying around the yard if anyone needs something for a 95 Ford Ranger.
I am not ashamed to admit that I have been a Leaf fan since I was a fetus. I can recite the entire starting line ups from 1981 to present day. It’s a gift. One of my most sad moments was when Darcy Tucker was traded to the Colorado Avalanche.
I am a huge fan of discount beer, the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, and the people of Wood Buffalo. I will catch you on the drive home, Monday to Friday.
Shane Button
Weeknights, 6pm to Midnight
Shane grew up in Cambridge Ontario and in high school found a love for music. However, since music theory wasn’t his strong point he was forced to find another life path. His girlfriend told him about her experience in researching radio, he did his own research and, VOILA!, the perfect career.
He knew moving out here was the best thing, but he had to leave a few beloved objects at home…like his precious drums. There are times where he seems like a lost puppy without them, which just forces him to pick up the guitar…and try no matter how painful to the ear…to play.
